How to record video captured by JVC digital video camera?

My mother bought a JVC GR-D370U digital video camera that records Mini digital cassettes. It has seen the video playback through AV jacks to television, but they want to upload a video to your PC. You can connect the USB cable to PC and capture still images stored in the memory card, but is unable to capture or even locate the digital video. I searched the site and found JVC a DV (digital video) cable. I guess this may be necessary to transfer the video. Can not someone help us? Thank you.

. Need a FireWire PC card $ 10 if you do not have one, and you need the cable that goes from your camera to the card and that probably comes with some software capture .. if not, then you can use Windows Movie Maker to capture and edit.
