How to capture light in color with a Samsung S730 digital camera?

I have a samsung s730 digital camera 7.2 and was wondering how to capture a scene of great light in the evening? I know how to use different modes of different scenes, but at night, even with the way the right of the image is blury or too bright flash. If I am taking pictures of different colored lights as a light blue or red or something so how I can capture the color of the image, without coming too blury?
